Glamorous. For Real.

Tonight is the night when over 500 students strap on their best mask and strut their stuff to show the world they are beautiful while enjoying themselves in a pandemonium of rapture..... Sounds cliche? Yup, this post is the follow-up of this.

So the Event is going to be a success. A Real SUCCESS. Congrats to the organizers. Tickets sold out, I heard, from one of sales personnel. Bravo to the formidable sales and promotion team. I guess I shall have to take back those comments I gave about their marketing strategies.

I'm NOT going. despite the numerous pestering from the various personnel, despite the idea of a prom-cum-class farewell party, despite being offered a ticket by a random student at RM30 yesterday while waiting for those two XY-chromosome homo sapiens to turn up. Heck, they were an hour and a half late. But RM30 for the ticket was an attractive offer, really.

Still I'm not going due to assignment commitments (it's due in a week time), and the comment a famous blogger cum student of SCS gave, "no one looks at your age at prom night. It's all about your dress and how you have dolled up for the evening!"

So call me a nerd or what for not attending what is called the-Event-of-the-year by some excited bloggers. I would do anything to be able to get some fun. Anything, except abandoning these assignments, you see. (Surfed through the net. I found 3 student bloggers all excited about tonight's event; one even having a checklist of her preparation from what heels to wear; what tote, accessories and headpiece to go with her beautiful evening gawn; to which saloon to go to for her hairdo... and 3pm 19/10/2008- make up. Wow. If I was going tonight, I would surely nominate her for Prom Queen. Reason for nomination: Self-sacrificing)

Enjoy yourself Tonight, people.

And to the blogger who should still be in the midst of making up; may you be voted as the Prom Queen of SCS.
BTW, if the DJ asks you, "why do you think you should be the Prom Queen?", just answer, "KJ commented that attending a prom is a matter of grave significance and hard work. I think she is just being a nerd and a cheapskate who is not even willing to fork out XX amount for the ticket and hair-do. For the record, I spent XX days and RMXXX altogehter just to prepare for tonight and sacrificed my whole afternoon making up. I even prepared a checklist so that I would not miss out anything. Thus I should be awarded the Prom Queen title because of my enthusiasm."

Hmm, probably I should follow Dad to the venue later, hang out at the lobby while waiting for him to finish his game of squash and yeah, see those Glamourous people flocking into the Hall.

Neh, assignment calls. Exams coming up in succession. And My Lips. Yeah, I'm NOT following Dad because of MY Elephantitis Lips. Apparently, I ate something that I'm allergic to and now, my Lips are SWOLLEN. I've drank glucose, applied ice and the swell has not receded yet. Oh well, it takes time, according to Daddy Dearest. So yeah, Thank God I'm not going to the Prom Night tonight or I'd have to kiss the RM55 goodbye. I'm not going to have Prom Queens laughing at my Unique Lips. Unique positioning strategy. Is there one?
*sobs*

Anyone willing to sponsor a patch test for me?

Hey KJ ...

How's your lips now? Has it recovered by now? Oh my ... Did you ate something which caused the allergy or what? Or have you been kissed by a secret admirer of yours? Haha :) Assignments have to be hectic, I have just done mine, a PP slide shows, now waiting for my turn for presentation. All the best for your upcoming exams. Take care always.

cHeErS! :)
